About All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society's College of Engineering (AISSMSCE), Pune
The All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society's College of Engineering, popularly known as AISSMS COE, is a co-education Institute established in 1992. Located in Pune, AISSMS COE Pune was founded by the All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society. The college is affiliated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). All the AISSMS COE Pune courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college is accredited with grade "A+" by NAAC
The institute offers Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in eight streams and Master of Engineering (ME) degree in seven streams. The University Grants Commission (UGC) recognises AISSMS COE Pune under sections 2 (F) and 12 (B). Further, the college is recognised by the Government of Maharashtra.
The college offers numerous scholarships to its students. The college has highly qualified and experienced faculty on its roll. The laboratory, computer and library facilities in all Departments are well-developed. The College also has a Central Library and Central Computing Facility. AISSMS College of Engineering Campus Facilities and Infrastructure
Computer Facility: The AISSMS COE computing facility supports the Institute's Educational and Research programmes by providing intellectual access to information. Internet facilities with a 10 mbps Lease Line Link have been established to provide this. The AISSMS College of Engineering computing facility with the internet is equipped with a high-end server and about 100 computers. The students and staff of various departments use these central facilities for their research activities. The AISSMS COE computing facility provides research-based software such as C, C++, Java, Assembly language and open source Database Management systems for these activities.
Hostel: AISSMS COE has two hostels dedicated to female students' accommodation. They are named after Jijabai, mother of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Tarabai, great woman warrior and daughter-in-law of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Both AISSMS College of Engineering hostels are located in the heart of Pune city and are 1km from the AISSMS College of Engineering college campus. The hostels are very much secured. All the facilities are very close to the hostels.
Dispensary- AISSMS COE has a dispensary available to cater to the student's medical needs. It undertakes the responsibility of consultation and distribution of medicines to students. It has a capacity of 20 beds.
SMART Board: There are vast educational resources available online at AISSMS COE, from video to text to interactive applications. Smart Boards are an excellent way to focus students’ attention in the classroom, especially in elementary school. Teachers report great success with students coming up and working out problems on the Smart Board in front of the classroom.
Virtual Labs: AISSMS College of Engineering has a virtual laboratory in collaboration with another institute for all the technical courses. It provides remote access to simulation-based labs in various science and engineering disciplines.
